Electric HairdressingBackground
Electric Hairdressing has been a client of ours for years, since its birthright, it has been hailed as one of the UK’s most exciting hairdressing brands. Electric’s vision is to produce a creative stable of excellence that delivers the ethics of British innovation and design and the raw passion and creativity demanded by both hairdressers and clients alike.
The Electric brand encompasses award-winning salons, an ethical professional product line, an education academy, as well as a photographic and film studio, Electric Space. Born in 2007, in fashionable Brighton on the south coast of England, Electric has grown into a brand with global recognition, with Electric products used by some of the world’s most influential hair stylists.
The brief
Our brief was simple, to create a unique super-brand aimed at a series of specific audiences that wouldn’t date. Something that oozed chicness and pizazz and that represented the best of British culture, something that represents exciting innovative British independent culture. It had to work well in nationwide salons, across press, and social media and work for a series of Electric products that were sold directly to consumers as well as within the B2B sector.
The creative
The brand itself was created and designed to work across a series of business sectors: the Electric salons, the Electric Studio, Electric Education Academy and ultimately, the Electric Product range. The black & white monochrome look was created to represent British culture throughout the era. Alongside this, our design team created a bespoke coat of arms logo that is unique to Electric, this gave the brand a unique ownership and something that no other brand can copy.
The work
The work covered all areas of media and communication, from internal creative teams, brochures, marketing, web, social and film.
